Pastor John Rozier

Growing up with a religious background, but without a saving knowledge of Christ - it wasn't until later in his adult life, the Lord took John out of a corporate career and brought him to Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. It was there his journey with Jesus truly began. After many years of dedicated service, he went on to serve on the pastoral staff, lead a Men’s Accountability Ministry, and teach Bible & Apologetics classes at Calvary Christian Academy High School.

While serving, John went on to pursue his Masters Degree in Theology & Apologetics at Veritas International University. Through foreordained circumstances and much prayer, it became clear he was being called to Germantown. Then in 2010, the Lord opened a door to plant a church in the heart of the neighborhood and Calvary Fellowship began. Starting as a Thursday night Bible Study, it grew and in 2013 they started their first Sunday services.

Since then, various ministries formed, both locally and nationally. Pastor John is joined by his wife Sherri and their children, who seek the Lord’s will as they serve the community with a desire to see God do a work in the city of Philadelphia.
